One thing is for sure - every predator fish looks for them so a mullet pattern is a good searching choice when we don’t see any activity in the water. There are several species of mullet up and down the USA coast; to me they look almost the same. Depending on where you fish the color varies light to dark, in fact there are mullet with black tail as well.
