Tell me one thing, “Who does not like Shrimp?” I love them fried, sautéed with garlic, on a charcoal grill, sashimi - you name it! So do fish and this is the reason I always carry shrimp patterns when I go fishing. I have so many to offer, like I do for the crabs patterns, simply because the more we have the better it is to cover all situations. One particular pattern of mine I would like to emphasize is the Spawning Shrimp. This pattern has been so effective for Bonefish and Permit that it is not even funny. And let’s not mention all the Stripers I have fooled in my home waters! The Ultra Shrimp is an excellent pattern for Snook, Redfish and Sea Trout especially in shallow water where the fly will land very softly. The Ultra Shrimp have been proven to be very handy in many other situations as well. The Turneffe Micro Shrimp is another pattern I did to fish at Turneffe Flats Lodge (like the Turneffe Micro Crab) but that does not mean you cannot fish them elsewhere! Try them; I am sure you will like them when you are chasing these silver ghosts in the flats. The Bahamas Shrimp is the last addition to the shrimp family. This is a pretty standard pattern; the only thing I did is incorporate the new Tarantula Hairy Brush into the body to give the fly a different action, and the EP Fibers for the wing.
