APTE & ENRICO BILLFISH SYSTEM flies are the result of teamwork by Stu Apte and Enrico Puglisi to pursue the pelagic fish with the fly rod worldwide.

The concept of this flies is quite simple and consists of three components; the head, the tail/tandem hook and the bare tandem hooks.

If you plan your trip for marlin our suggestion goes for the first two components that consist of the head and the tail/tandem hook. The color combination is your choice: white head and red tail/tandem hook, hot pink head and white tail/tandem hook or simply full color such as hot pink or mahi etc. This fly combination will reach 11 to 12 inches in length.

If you plan your trip for sailfish then our suggestion goes for the head and the bare tandem hook, the color of course is your choice. This fly combination is 7 to 8 inches in length.
